We Are "Nomad Fishing Charters".

This Forum was started because of the number of questions we receive about whats hot,
equipment required, how to rig something etc..
We have no plans to charge for access to secret forums or ask for donations.
We learned a long time ago that if you are willing to ask for help,
some of the best fisherman on that lake are eager to share their information if we take the time to listen.
I will do whatever I can to make this a valuable resource for our favorite pastime and welcome any and all suggestions for changes.

Our Ship, the Nomad, a 1996 285 Baha Cruiser, is Moored at Mikes Marina, in Mexico New
York. We fish the Eastern Basin of Lake Ontario for Browns, Lake Trout, Steelhead, and
Salmon.

About the Captain

Captain Art Martin has over 35 years of experience fishing on Lake Champlain, Lake Michigan, and Lake Ontario.
He has been a Charter Captain for 20 years and has been doing it full time since 1993. He is married and father of 3.
His first mate on the boat and at home is "Judy", who enjoys fishing as much as he does. She also knows how to
operate all the electronics on board and loves explaining it to the customers . Other first mates are Leroy Hurlbut
who owns and operates Ashley Lynn Apple Winery on the shores of Lake Ontario, and Don Lacharite, uncle,
friend and mentor of the captain.
Arts hobbies include, fishing steelhead in the rivers, ice fishing, deer hunting, carpentry work,
and playing the Lowrey electronic organ. Once the rods are put away in late Sept, he heads to the woods of Vermont
with his archery equipment. From there he heads to the big woods of Maine with rifle and muzzleloader.
